My name is Jill Zeto and I am the school nurse here at Marumsco Hills Elementary. I have worked in Prince William County as a school nurse since 2008 and have been a nurse since graduating from Bowling Green State University/Medical College of Ohio in 1985. I’ve worked in many areas of hospital nursing to include emergency room and intensive care, and spent 7 years as a nurse in the U.S. Army.
I am very happy to support you and your child’s health and learning! My primary duties include performing routine vision and hearing screenings, administering medication, and seeing children in the clinic for injuries and illnesses. I try to incorporate teaching of healthy habits to include handwashing, good nutrition, and fitness and I enjoy teaching health topics and try to visit the classrooms periodically throughout the year.
Please keep me informed any health problems your child may have. Children with asthma or life threatening allergies may keep their needed medications in the clinic after a health treatment plan is completed by the parents/ guardians and the physician. Prescription and over-the-counter medications can be administered at school if the proper paperwork is completed. Please see the attached links for the appropriate forms. Just as a reminder, please do not send medications to school with your student. Only adults are allowed to deliver medications to and from school, this includes cough drops.
It is very important that I am able to contact you in case of an emergency. Please keep your emergency cards up to date.
