Dear Marumsco Hills Families,

My name is Christopher Knighting and I am so excited to be returning as your Assistant Principal for the 2025-26 school year! Every day I come to work and am surrounded by wonderful people who put learning first. I am proud to be part of the MHES family!

I have more than 24 years of experience as an elementary teacher in various grades and then assistant principal. I graduated from James Madison University and then continued to Virginia Commonwealth University to receive my Master’s in Educational Leadership.

Since being appointed to Marumsco Hills in 2015, I have learned so much from my experiences. I have maintained high expectations in student learning and have been the Special Education Administrator for our building. I believe that every child has great potential, and I look forward to doing everything needed to help our students be successful.

I am happily married to Aliessa, my wife of twenty-three years and have two children, Adison who is 20 and Emma who is 17. They grow up so fast.
