Dear Marumsco Hills Families, Staff, and Community,

I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Marumsco Hills Elementary School. It is truly a privilege to join this community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the students, families, and staff of such a proud and vibrant school.

I have devoted my entire 21-year career to Prince William County Public Schools, serving as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. For the past eight years, I have had the honor of leading an extraordinary school community where, together, we achieved remarkable success. Our school was recognized as a National Title I Distinguished School, a Visible Learning Certified School, Virginia’s Highest Achievement Exemplar School, and our work was honored through the Cahn Distinguished Principal Award. Most recently, I was humbled to be named Virginia’s National Distinguished Principal.

While I am proud of these accomplishments, I want to be clear—these recognitions are not mine alone. They are the result of what is possible when a school community deeply believes in its students, sets high expectations for teaching and learning, and works collectively with clarity, trust, and purpose. When adults align around a shared vision, students soar.

It is my passion and unwavering commitment to ensure that every student—regardless of barriers or challenges—receives the highest quality education possible. I believe deeply in the power of strong partnerships, because schools thrive when families, staff, and community members work together. At Marumsco Hills Elementary, I look forward to building meaningful relationships and creating a culture where students are known, valued, challenged, and supported every day.

Together, we will SOAR as the Eagles we know we can be. With high expectations, strong partnerships, and a shared commitment to excellence, Marumsco Hills will continue to rise—soaring higher than ever before.

In the coming weeks, please be on the lookout for communication from me. I look forward to inviting our community into the school so I can begin getting to know each of you prior to the start of the school year. I am truly excited about the journey ahead and confident that this is going to be the best year yet for Marumsco Hills.
