Eagle Pride Program
Our EAGLE P.R.I.D.E. program is an effective schoolwide system used to maintain and improve student behavior. We expect all our students to adhere to our school's motto: Have a Positive Attitude, Be Responsible, Have Integrity, Do the Right Thing, and Be an Engaged Learner. Students will show their EAGLE P.R.I.D.E. in all areas of the building including classrooms, the cafeteria, hallways, bathrooms, buses, and playground areas. This helps our students, parents, teachers, and staff create effective learning environments.
Why Use EAGLE P.R.I.D.E?
EAGLE P.R.I.D.E. was designed to be a framework for students, parents, teachers, and staff to play a role in TEACHING, ENCOURAGING, SUPPORTING, MONITORING, and REWARDING positive behaviors in our school. It fits with our Vision of Creating a Positive Learning Environment for our students.
How Does Our Rewards System Work?
Step 1: Identify and Teach Expected Behaviors: We will teach our expectations for behavior in each area at our school. We will model expected behaviors for every area of the school.
Step 2: Expectations are posted throughout the building so students can reference them.
Step 3: We will Positively Reinforce and Acknowledge expected behaviors: When students meet schoolwide expectations, school staff will reinforce individual student successes with positive behavior points in Live School. Any staff member can give a Live School point when they see EAGLE P.R.I.D.E. behavior being modeled. Earning points for positive behavior will allow students to purchase rewards.
Step 4: Enforce Meaningful Consequences for Misbehavior: In addition to teaching and rewarding positive behaviors, some students need additional reminders and consequences if they do not meet expectations. Tiered levels of support and consequences will be used to help assure that all students find success through our EAGLE P.R.I.D.E. program.
